Benjamin Crowninshield Family Papers, 1727-1934, undated
The Benjamin Crowninshield Family Papers include the shipping, business, and personal papers of Benjamin Crowninshield, his son Benjamin, Jr., and a series of other descendants of Jacob and Hannah Crowninshield. The bulk of the collection is made up of the writings of Benjamin Crowninshield, Jr, along with material related to the naval careers of Jacob Crowninshield (1799-1849) and his son, William Wallach Crowninshield (1823-1874).
Revolutionary War Collection, 1770-1856, 1901-1961, undated
The Revolutionary War Collection includes ships' papers, regimental records, enlistment records, company rolls, pay rolls, orderly books, correspondence, bills, receipts, journals, notes, and sketches related to the Revolutionary War. The majority of the material documents the involvement of Massachusetts during the war.
Salem Marine Society Records, 1760-1994
The Salem Marine Society Records document the administrative and financial activities of the Society and its work with members and the greater maritime and Salem communities. Records date from the 1760s through the 1990s.
