William H. Macy (Ship) was built by Carleton, Norwood & Co. in 1883 in Rockport, ME. The ship sailed under Captain James A. Amsbury from 1890-1898, with his brother Stanley Amsbury as mate. In June 1898, Carleton Norwood & Co. sold the ship to Eschen & Minor in San Francisco.
