Biographical Note

Nathan Bridge was born in 1782 to Matthew Bridge. He was a Boston-based merchant, and ran the firm Nathan Bridge & Co. From 1814-1830, he lived in Charlestown, MA. In June of 1830, Bridge died unexpectedly. His firm was subsequently renamed Bates & Co. and continued by his former co-partner, John Douglas Bates.
