The Augustine F. Heard Jr. papers contain transcriptions of Heard's 1854 correspondence to his parents. Also included in this collection are transcriptions of manuscripts, presumably by Heard. There are three copies of the manuscript "A Chinese Execution at Canton in the Revolution of 1854-5;" the first copy is from John Heard, the other two copies are from Fam. Mss 433. There are no original materials in this collection, everything is a transcription.
