Subseries B. Justice of the Peace Papers contains papers that were created before Manning became a Justice of the Peace; these must have been passed down to him. Many of them were signed by John Higginson, Registrar in Essex County at the time. This subseries also contains legal papers, deeds, wills, financial documents, and estate papers.
