Scope and Content Note
This collection contains correspondence and financial papers (wills, deeds, insurance policies, tax records, pension information) of the Wilkins and Gardner families of Salem and Middleton, Massachusetts. It has been organized into two series.
Series I. Correspondence and Financial Papers contains the correspondence and financial papers of Daniel B. Gardner, William H. Nichols, Thomas N. Gardner, Alden B. Gardner, Luther T. Wilkins, Francis Blake Wilkins, and Aldene G. Wilkins. There is one photograph of Aldene G. Wilkins circa 1930.
Series II. Memorabilia contains a wallet, set of keys, and a notebook.

Biographical Sketches
Francis Blake Wilkins (1894-1954), son of Luther Frank Wilkins (b. 1851) and Mary Ellen Fuller (b. 1853), was born in Middleton, Massachusetts. He worked for the B & M Railroad and was a veteran of World War I. He married Aldene Gardner Wilkins (1899-1965), daughter of Alden B. Gardner (b. 1854) and Florence Cushing Gardner, in 1922. She was a stenographer. Alden B. Gardner's father was Thomas N. Gardner (1831-1875).
