Lawrence G. Miller Papers, 1918-1963, undated

 Collection
Identifier: MH 160

Scope and Content Note

The Lawrence G. Miller papers contain correspondence to and from Miller, research, and notes about knots. This collection has been divided into two series.

Series I. Correspondence contains correspondence to and from Miller. The correspondence has been arranged alphabetically. Within the correspondence are sketches, research notes, and some articles that were shared by or with Miller. Included in this series are three bound volumes of transcribed correspondence.

Series II. Research contains materials that were removed from three ring plastic note books. This material consists of notes, news clippings, articles, and some correspondence; it has been left in its original order in which it was organized within the binder. It was not clear what order the three binders were supposed to be kept in, but they have been numbered for easier reference. This series also contains index cards of knots which have notes and drawings on them; these have been left in their original order but have been removed from their original metal box.
