The Daniel Rogers Family Papers include ships' papers, bills, receipts, legal documents, an account book, and correspondence created by Daniel Rogers, Daniel Rogers, Jr., his mother Rachel Rogers, and other Roger Family members. This collection has been arranged into two series.

Series I. Daniel Rogers, Jr. Papers include ships' papers, bills, receipts, and leases. This series has been arranged into two subseries. Subseries A. Ships' Papers include insurance policies, bills of sale, charter party documents, and surveys of the vessels owned and operated by Daniel Rogers, Jr. as a merchant out of Gloucester, Massachusetts. Many of the documents list the investors that helped Rogers, Jr. finance his voyages, including his brothers Timothy Rogers and Samuel Rogers. This material is arranged alphabetically by ship name. Subseries B. Personal Papers include bills and receipts of Rogers, Jr.'s expenses while he attended Harvard College from 1794 to 1798. Also included are receipts for taxes paid to the town of Gloucester and the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. There are also leases for rooms, an insurance policy, and sale of a pew at the South Meeting House in Beverly, Massachusetts. This material is arranged chronologically.

Series II. Family Papers include records created by various Rogers family members. There is an account book created by Daniel Rogers in 1770; this item is restricted but copies of the original can be viewed on Microfilm 120, Reel 5. Additionally in this series is a receipt for John Rogers, dated 1784, regarding supplies purchased over the course of three months, two leases for Rachel Rogers, and correspondence for Benjamin F. Rogers. This material has been arranged chronologically.
