Scope and Content Note
The Joseph Hammond Papers contain correspondence, sales, and crew accounts of the bark Arctic and ship Western Star. The Arctic traveled from Boston to Honolulu and the Stanley Falkland Islands. There is correspondence with Charles Brewer and Company and a protest given at Stanley. The Western Star traveled to Calcutta and Liverpool.
