Color slides, contact sheets, negatives, and b/w conact sheets, negatives, and one 8 x 10 photo of the Salem, Mass., jail taken January 24, 1991 by Robert Weis, Dean Lahikainen, and Jim McAlister after the prisoners had been moved to the new facility in Middleton. Areas photographed (names used by the staff): The Trap; Control Room; Records Office; The Floor; Cage; Booking Room; Kitchen; Laundry Room; Boiler Room; Library/Chapel; Nurses Room; Dining Room; Red Tier (Cell block); Dept. Supt. Office; and exterior of building. Also included is a map of the building (Appendix I).
