The Creesy Family papers contains legal papers, and an account book belonging to Josiah P. Creesy. The account book is an account book for two ships, the Oneida and the Flying Cloud. The second half of the account book seems to be an inventory kept by an antiques dealer.

Biographical / Historical
Josiah Perkins Creesy Jr. was born March 23, 1814, in Marblehead, Massachusetts (Ancestry...Find a Grave). Creesy, a ship captain, married Eleanor Horton in 1841. Eleanor served as a navigator on her husband's ships, and was navigating when the Flying Cloud made its record setting voyage in 1851 (Shaw xxvii). Cressy died June 5, 1871 (Ancestry...Find a Grave).
