Scope and Contents From the Series:

Series IV. Estate Papers are those documents relating to the settlement of Pingree's estate. Largely handled by his brother David and George Wheatland, the papers deal with settlements of notes, voyages that were in progress at the time of his death, and financial records of the estate. There are also papers relating to the settlement of the Alabama Claims. This series is organized chronologically.
