The Spanish-American War Collection includes enlistment information and correspondence regarding Americans who fought for the United States during the war with Spain. This includes a brief history of the Volunteer Infantry organizations for all states and a list of men who enlisted for service from New Bedford, Massachusetts. Additionally, correspondence is included from Richard M. Shoemaker, sergeant with the 1st Pennsylvania Regiment Volunteer Infantry, while he was stationed at Camp Hastings in Chautauqua, Pennsylvania and Camp Thomas in Chickamauga Park, Georgia. Also included in this collection is a passport document from 1895.
