Biographical / Historical

George Wheatland (1804-1893) was the fourth son of Richard Wheatland (1762-1830) and Martha Goodhue (1770-1826). He married Hannah Bemis Richardson in 1833. They did not have children, and she predeceased him in 1840. George Wheatland lived in Salem, Massachusetts, working as a lawyer for most of his life.
