Abstract
The Daland Family papers consist of correspondence to Henry Tucker Daland or his father, Tucker Daland, from business associates, in particular, Henry L. Williams, Henry Tucker’s brother-in-law. The Daland family were prosperous East India merchants and their correspondence primarily concerns aspects of buying, selling, and shipping goods through the Far East, European, and American trade. Sailing Ship Card Collection, 1857-1894, 1918, 1990, undated

Abstract
Sailing ship cards have been identified as the earliest form of multi-color advertising in the United States. Printed to announce the departure of commercial ship sailings for both passengers and freight companies, the ephemeral nature of these cards makes them very rare. The collection contains 1,296 cards, 1,193 of which are unique, and 103 of which are duplicates.

Abstract
The Thomas J. Hartnett Collection contains materials that Rear Admiral John Duncan Bulkeley, or someone on his staff, sent to Hartnett, while Bulkeley was Commander of the U.S. Naval Base on Guantánamo Bay, Cuba. There is some correspondence in the collection that suggests Bulkeley was the person sending the materials to Hartnett, including a letter from Hartnett to an unidentified Admiral, dated June 17, 1964, which suggests the unidentified Admiral was the person sending these materials...
