The Andover Newton Theological School Collection contains materials collected by the institution and its predecessors, in addition to some institutional records.

The Charles F. Johnson collection contains two albums of postcards,and 110 glass lantern slides. The postcards are addressed to both Charles, his father Frederick, and other family members. The lantern slides are of people and places presumably in China, and of cartoons. The collection also contains some loose post cards, Charles' birth certificate, naturalization certificate, and a program from his memorial service.

The J. Howard Nichols papers contain correspondence and financial documents about the China trade in which Nichols was involved.
