Biographical Note

Frank P.J. Carleton was born in 1852 to Sarah (Babb) and Philander J. Carleton. He sailed as captain of the bark Adolph O'Brig between 1891-1894. After his father's death, he joined his brother Ralph W. Carleton as co-partner of the firm Carleton, Norwood & Co., and was the last extant partner at the time of his death in 1941.
