Series XII. Financial includes a meticulous record of Morse's financial accounts. In the 1868 account book Morse kept a thorough register of where he delivered lectures and the remuneration received during the period 1861 to 1870. This series also provides information on purchases made by Morse in Japan for the Peabody Museum, as well as for his private collection of oriental pottery. Much of this series is recorded in Japanese.

Regimental Records includes records for the 1st Massachusetts Regiment, 2nd Massachusetts Regiment, 3rd Massachusetts Regiment, 4th Massachusetts Regiment, 5th Massachusetts Regiment, 14th Massachusetts Regiment, and Colonel Nathaniel Wade's Regiment, along with muster rolls from Massachusetts towns, Lloyd's Neck, Byfield, Marblehead and Gloucester, enlistment records, and provision and clothing returns.

The Salem Rotary Club records contain operational and adminstrative records from the club. The materials also contain ephemera, objects, cellulose photographs, negatives, slides, and a 16mm film reel. The collection contains subject files, which reflect the creators' original arrangement and title. The other material was loose, and was arranged by the archivist.

Series V. Printing Materials contains printers' cuts and a seal. Also included in this series are two stereotype flongs, pasted paper forms into which an image has been pressed. These flongs, or matrixes, were pliant enough to register an impression and sufficiently heat-resistant to tolerate the molten-type metal poured into the flong to create a stereotype plate of the image.

Series I. Photographic Material includes photos, negatives, slides, and some copies. They cover a wide range of topics, including buildings, people, and landscapes. Many of the pictures are not originals, but are pictures or copies of pictures from personal collections. Groups of pictures taken at the same time are grouped together in folders. The folder titles are taken from the original inventory of the collection.
